Everything in my shop is made to order.  I do not have anything in stock ready to ship.  Orders placed that require shipping the same or next week may incur rush fees and expedited shipping charges.  I ship on Monday/Tuesday of each week.  If you need your order for a Monday or Tuesday, you need to order no less than 2 weeks in advance of your need by date.   Please contact me directly BEFORE placing an order if you are unsure of any extra charges.  
Rice paper sails are an elegant addition to any cake, cupcake or dessert, and will add a touch of sophistication to any of your sweet projects.  These items are made to order, and is ready to use the moment it arrives.   The listing picture had 5 sails in the cake, which was an 8" round 3 cake layers tall.
This listing is ONLY for the rice paper sails and DOES NOT INCLUDE the topper, sprinkles, or accent balls shown with the listing picture.  The listing picture with the arrows indicate what you are purchasing.
It can be made into a variety of colors.  Please keep in mind that that colors will vary even on the same piece and each piece is unique it appearance and size/shape.  Sizing ranges from approx. 3" to 8" in height.  
They are meant to have an organic flow and feel to them.  They are also translucent (as you can see from the listing photo), which allows light to filter through, however, they can be made to be more opaque if needed.  The edges can be finished with or without an accent color.  
Each sail can be stuck directly into your cake surface, including on the cake's side.  You can even use some melted chocolate to help "glue" it into place.    Rice paper sails are strong and delicate at the same time.  They can crack/break with to much pressure applied to them.  
For best results, apply the rice paper sails to your cake before displaying it.  Residential refrigeration typically does not affect the sails, however, commercial refrigeration can adversely affect the sails due to the amount of humidity blowing around in the space.  This extra moisture can cause the sail to become soft; which would then cause them to wilt.  IF you need to refrigerate your cake with the sails, it is recommended to have the cake protected in a cake box that is sealed with saran to prevent the moisture from coming into contact with the sails.
To decorate and Store: either keep sail pieces in original packaging, or in a plastic bag until use.
Rice Paper Ingredients: White rice flour, tapioca flour, salt, and water, coloring, edible paint (if applicable).

You are welcome to place your order weeks in advance—however, your order will then be made & shipped to arrive fresh the week of your event
